Website Design Process Steps

Step 1 – The Initial Meeting

In our initial meeting, we’ll discuss the goals of your business and how your website can help you accomplish them. From there we can identify design ideas like layout concepts, navigation, and functions that can be incorporated into your website. We’ll also discuss if the website will need to be updated consistently and whether it requires a content management system (CMS).

Step 2 – Quote Review and Approval

Once we understand your vision, we’ll plan out your entire website project from start to finish and formulate the cost. We then send you a quote detailing the project’s costs and our web design agreement.

Upon signing the agreement, a payment of 50% of the total project price is due.

magician4Step 3 – Drafting of Design Concepts

Usually, within just one week, we’ll send you the first design concept visualizing what the website can look like. We’ll continue to send you revised design concepts until we’ve drafted exactly what you want. Once you’ve approved the design, we’ll complete coding, install navigation, and build out the pages.

Step 4 – Adding Content

Next, we’ll add in the content (text, images, etc.) you send us and/or carry over the content from your old website. Also, contact forms will be set up so submissions are backed up in a secure directory and sent to your desired email address. If search engine optimization (SEO) services are part of your agreement, optimization will be performed at this step as well.

Step 5 – Completion

Once the final payment (the remaining 50%) is made, we’ll upload your website to your current web host or switch it to our servers. We then launch your website and it’s live!
